Kate Zeitler is a Michigan girl at heart with a daytime job in design and an off-the-clock craving to travel.  Her honeymoon was spent road tripping cross-country.  Join her in the studio for a creative, intense and ridiculously well-playlisted ride.

Meet Kate!

If I’m not in the studio you’ll find me… walking to a meeting with a client for my graphic design and creative marketing business. On the weekends I love picnicking in a park in the South End with my husband and friends, brunching and trying new fitness classes. And if you spot someone at a club aggressively trying to do the dance from Justin Bieber’s Sorry music video, that’s probably me. Please don’t post it on Snapchat!

If I’m not in spandex and cycling shoes… I’m probably slightly overdressed for the occasion. Since I work from home, I get excited for any excuse to dress up and change out of my usual athleisure attire. Currently I’m obsessed with simple dresses with thigh slits, monochromatic colors and as many rings as I can possibly fit on my hands.

If I had to make a single artist playlist… Kanye West, hands down. His older albums are so amazing and I have almost all the songs memorized. I keep toying with the idea of rapping Get Em High at karaoke night, but I always chicken out at the last minute and go back to my old standby… Rehab by Amy Winehouse.

If I had to pick a favorite move… Isolations in 2nd while keeping the beat give the best quad burn! I love pushing through that burn, getting stronger with every pedal-stroke .

My favorite pre-workout snack… I love an almond milk protein shake with some cinnamon and PB2! It gives me that energy I need to really give an intense class. Oh, and coffee is a given. I consider it a pre-life snack.

My goal for rides… I want my riders to walk out of class feeling like the powerful badasses that they are. These classes are so much more than burning the calories from lunch or the cocktails from the night before. It’s a gift that our bodies can move and that we can take time in our schedules to dedicate to our health, so I want riders to leave feeling proud of what they are capable of.

Best advice I’ve gotten… In gymnastics, whenever I fell or hurt myself from a move, my coach would tell me to get right back up and do that same move again immediately after. I think that’s so applicable to life; you can’t live in fear of things that you once failed at. You’ve got to get up and give it another go. Kate.jpeg
